A yoga and wellness session is suitable for any type of practitioner, from beginner to advanced as well as yoga teachers and therapists. Each practice is unique and is designed according to your own need, infusing neurobiology, specific traditional yoga poses, pranayamas, Ayurveda and meditation.

I am a certified Yoga coach and Instructor in various styles of yoga such as; Psychotherapeutic Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Tantra Yoga, and Yin Yoga. I am passionate about helping people to improve their physical and mental health as well as their energy level. My session specializes in traditional yoga and neurobiology science including in the sessions meditations practices, breathwork and Ayurveda.

While working with people from different cultures and backgrounds, I’ve noticed how modern ways of living alienate us from our essential self-losing connection with our body; The benefits of yoga go beyond just physical health. Every session is designed to support YOUR own journey according to YOUR needs and personal goals. I am committed to take you on a journey of healing and a conscious lifestyle.

Starting with the basis: What is yoga?

Yoga is an old discipline from India. It is both spiritual and physical. Yoga uses breathing techniques (pranayamas,) physical postures (asanas), as well as meditation. Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science, which focuses on bringing harmony between body, mind, and soul. The word “Yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit root “Yuj”, meaning “to yoke” or “to unite”. There are many different styles of yoga practice: diverse methodologies and distinct lineages. Though there is no single yoga philosophy, no one methodology, there is an underlying web of similarity that connects all approaches to yoga. Yoga can be seen as a way of living, healing, or feeling better physically and mentally. It brings harmony and awareness to our whole being.

Also, Ayurveda is known to be called the “sister science of yoga”. It helps us understand our personal rhythms and the rhythms of this world. In a way, Ayurveda and yoga are meant to be practiced together.

How does a Yoga and Wellness session look like?

I will teach you how we can balance our body, mind and nervous system through Yoga and wellness!

We will make a plan together to go through the following or some topics:

  • Foundation of yoga and exploration of different styles according to your need
  • Pranayamas: The 3 most essential breathing techniques to know
  • Meditation: 3 accessible meditation practices to learn and apply
  • Our nervous System: Exploration and balancing of the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic nervous system through specific poses.
  • The 7 Chakras: Specific flows, pranayamas and mantras for each Chakra.
  • Ayurveda and the 3 doshas: learn how to practice Yoga to balance your main dosha.
  • Miscellaneous: Exploring other tools for a specific objective

Given the shift in focus toward well-being, it is not surprising that the use of complementary health approaches such as Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda has increased in the past several years among medical treatments. Yoga is among the most prominent complementary health approaches.

Psychotherapeutic yoga can help you deal with physical, mental and emotional issues through traditional yoga techniques and neurobiology science. Every poses, pranayama, meditation techniques have a certain impact on your metabolism. It can help you to balance your energy and regulate your mood.
During a psychotherapeutic yoga class, we learn how to adjust and control our mental and emotional states with specific yoga poses that will bring the right energy to up regulate or down regulate your nervous system depending how you feel in the moment. It is a science based class designed for everyone and every body.
We will work on Yoga Poses for calming energetic effect, activation of the Parasympathetic Nervous System.
